Lifesize mannequin dressed in a black and gray Batman costume. Batman has been depicted wearing this style of costume in many classic works from the character's debut in Detective Comics #27, May 1939, up until the present day. This particular costume is modeled after the character's look in the 1999 oversize graphic novel Batman: War on Crime by writer Paul Dini and artist Alex Ross. (More on that work later in the exhibit!)
